I just finished reading Proverbs. I am reading the Ecclesiastes now. There are so much good proverbs and insights into life. I feel that I need to read it slowly and read it over and over. God's word is a lamp onto my feet and light onto my path.
(Ps. 119:105)
How's your study? What are you reading?
Karl,
ReplyDeleteYou can post your comments here. I agree with you fully. Very often people are not willing to be obedient to God. But for those of us who wants to be obedient to God, we can still have problems. Human hearts are devious and deceiving. Our desire of self justification can be so strong that we deceive even ourselves. We can justify what we do even with the Bible verses.
So we need to guard ourselves from this problem and put ourselves under the light of the Bible and Holy Spirit. So we will not fall under self-justification. May God grant us a discerning heart.
I am reminded of Apostle John's word in 1 John 4:1-3.
1Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
It is not easy or even humanly possible. We can only do it with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Ps. 19:14
14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
